First Data Center Pod is “All Systems Go”

After weeks of putting the finishing touches on the data center floor, first utility room and generator yard…the mechanical/electrical work is complete and the UPS/switchgear is powered up. Commissioning has begun!

Commissioning Methodology

Five levels of comissioning ensure each component is verified for compliance, approved, assembled, installed and verified again. Currently, we are in phase four of commissioning, “Individual System and Major Equipment Operation Verification” – each individudal system or major equipment element is started-up and tested for proper function operation and performance.

After the individual system operations are verified, level five commissioning commences. This includes testing the integrated systems together. The testing procedures simulate the operation of the data center during disruptive events – power loss, single/multiple equipment failures, changes to equipment operation, planned maintenance, etc. The meticulous attention to detail during commisssioning ensures a successful grand opening for the data center.
