Dual Power Design: Subfloor Electrical Layout (Week #3)

Last week, the outdoor generator atrium was cleared of debris, and we saw tunnels being dug out in preparation for underground conduit to support the power systems and house electrical wires.

The next step involves laying out the conduit, which will connect the UPS power rooms to the outside generators. Neatly engineered under the data center floor, the electrical system will deliver fault tolerant dual (A-B) power to customer equipment from three separate utility rooms, backed by four 2MW generators.

A team of electricians worked toward finishing this subfloor highway, which will safely and efficiently power the data center. Multiple pathways ensure added redundancy.
